Sexy Shrimp —
Thor amboinensis
Small, striking, and full of personality, the Sexy Shrimp is one of the most entertaining nano invertebrates you can add to a reef aquarium. Famous for its distinctive tail-up “sexy” dance, this tiny shrimp combines brilliant coloration with fascinating behavior.
Its translucent body is accented by bold red markings and bright white spots, making it surprisingly eye-catching despite its small size. Sexy Shrimp are best kept in small groups, where their natural social behavior and constant movement really come to life. They are peaceful reef inhabitants and an excellent choice for established nano and reef aquariums.
For the best experience, provide plenty of live rock, coral structure, and small crevices where they can forage and feel secure.
